Oh to be 15 again... - a photo on Flickriver

            Okay, so after a lot of searching for drivers, today I have been able to ‘fire-up’ my old neg’ scanner and get it to work on windows 10.  So one from the Simon archive… 

This photograph was taken in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace, London UK, March, 1980.  The four lads in the picture are all fifteen years old and on a School History trip to visit London. 
It’s lunch time, and in 80's your packed your own food. The school did not have a school uniform, as can be seen, and anyway, ‘posh’ clothes were of no interest for these ‘working class heroes’.  
All the lads pictured will be over sixty years old now, probably with children older than they were when this picture was taken. 

No camera phones in the 80's, so the shot was taken on a Zenit E SLR 35mm camera (aka the Russian Tank), on self-timer, camera on the ground, home developed Iford FP4,  and yes.. I am in the picture!
