Learner's Permit - a photo on Flickriver

Learner's Permit

            I was at an outdoor antique store when I ran across this 1961 Ford Falcon.  I got a learner's permit when I was 15 and started with a used 1965 Ford Falcon (the family 2nd car).  Had to drive with mom in the car for like 8 weeks and then I was cut loose on my own (scary thought).  Of course I had to test everything out then.  If you could find a puddle of water you could peel out.  Speed topped out about 94 mph (automatic 3 speed) and it didn't care for high speed curves much.
