Xenoplatyura sp ♀ (Diptera Sciaroidea Keroplatidæ Keroplatinæ Orfeliini)

The division of Keroplatinæ into Orfeliini and Keroplatini is outdated; while Keroplatini appears to be potentially monophyletic s.s., Orfeliini is clearly paraphyletic. Within the Clœophoromyia–Asindulum clade, Xenoplatyura appears to be paraphyletic withTruplaya; these 2 gg are also very similar morphologically. Biogeography and phenology of Orfeliini suggests that the greater part of them are of holarctic origin. Even for gg containing mainly non-holarctic spp it's hard to accept unreservedly that they originated in southern zoogeographic regions; such an origin can be accepted with some certainly for Truplaya, Allactoneura and possibly for Lygistorrhina, Manota and others too.
