Cockatoo and Bush Tucker - a photo on Flickriver

            Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo (Calyptorynchus funereus) female  clutches a pod of Banksia integrifolia (Coastal Banksia) seeds with one claw as it feeds. A pair of these big cockatoos visit my Gold Coast garden occasionally but the Coastal Banksia is widely distributed along the east coast of Australia in gardens, parks and in the wild.
