            Reformed church with the crypt of the Redhey family where rests Claudia Rhedey (Statue in the foreground), grandmother of Mary of Teck, Queen of Great Britain from 1910 to 1936.
ln addition to the palaces in Cluj (Kolozsvar) and Oradea (Nagyvarad) the Rhedey family also had a summer residence in Sangeorgiu de Padure, where Claudia Rhedey was born in September 1812. She was one of the ancestors of the British Royal Family. 
In the reformed church opposite the castle you can see the memorial plaques erected by Mary Victoria (Mary of Teck, 1867-1953), as Princess of Wales and as Queen of Great Britain (1910-1936)  in honor of her grandmother Claudia Rhedey.

Countess Claudine Susanna Rhédey von Kis-Rhéde (Hungarian: Gróf kisrédei Rhédey Klaudina Zsuzsanna; 21 September 1812 – 1 October 1841) was the Hungarian wife of Duke Alexander of Württemberg. Her son, Francis, Duke of Teck, was the father of Mary of Teck, queen consort to George V of the United Kingdom. The current British monarch, Charles III, is Claudine's great-great-great-grandson.
Claudine died in Austria in 1841 after being thrown from her horse. The remains of the Countess were originally interred in the Rhédey Mausoleum, but were subsequently removed and placed in the family crypt in the Reformed Church of Sângeorgiu de Pădure
