Old. Very old!

            Colossal red granite head of King Amenhotep III, from Karnak (Thebes), Egypt, 18th Dynasty, about 1370 BC.

The king stood with both arms straight down, holding containers for papyrus documents.  

"King Amenhotep III commissioned numerous statues of himself, especially for his temple in Thebes, then Egypt's capital.  His peaceful reign was a time of opulence and outstanding artistic refinement, often displayed on a grand and ambitious scale. The complete sculpture showed him striding. The statue, wearing the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt, was found in front of the temple of Khonsupakhered. This and a slightly smaller colossus flanked a doorway in the temple of Mut in Karnak. The head of the second statue is also in the British museum, but the bodies remain in Karnak. An arm from the statue is also in the Museum. 

A century later the facial features were reworked for King Ramesses II to match his own official "portrait". Ramesses appropriated countless statues of royal predecessors.
Various details of the face, such as the heavy cosmetic lines around the eyes, point to the style of Amenhotep III's reign, though it is also clear that it has been modified. The cosmetic lines have been largely abraded, and the lips have been adjusted by drilling in the corners to help create the illusion of a smaller mouth. The resultant features are thought to be those of Ramesses II, who is known to have ordered earlier statues to be modified to represent himself, in addition to inscribing them with his own name. In other cases, Ramesses reduced the relatively plump stomachs of Amenhotep's images to make them conform to his model of the king's ideal physical shape."
