Don't worry, Skipper . . . it'll be okay. Skipper waits for the vet . . .

            Skipper went to his veterinarian last Monday.   Except for his chronic respiratory condition, he's in good shape.  I'd been a bit concerned about his habit of drinking water with his paw but the vet just laughed about that.  He said, "One of mine does the same thing.  I think they're just smart cats who figure out that this works better for them."  Skipper isn't a bit dehydrated; he has good muscle tone and all appears well.  That's a relief.  

Many thanks to all my wonderful Flickr friends who offered suggestions for ensuring that Skipper gets adequate fluid and stays hydrated.  It means a lot to know that so many of you care -- he's pretty special to me.                           

(I don't know why the color is so strange on all these shots taken at the vet's office -- it's like there's a pinky glow on everything and Skipper's eyes are actually the color of green grapes and not blue gray as they look in the photos.)
