Part of what I see from my kitchen window

            Shooting through the kitchen window (which isn't very clean) and the little gazebo on the deck.  The rustic limestone chair on the native limestone ledge kind of anchors the area.  

My whole back yard used to be just that limestone.  No soil.  The native stone retaining wall allowed me to fill in soil -- much of it homemade leaf mold and compost -- and begin the garden.  (It feels kind of pompous to name a tiny patch of land, but I've always called my garden Limestone Ledge -- because it is!)
