Lemon season! - a photo on Flickriver

Lemon season!

            I have two potted lemons -- 'Eureka' and 'Ponderosa' -- both of which have  variegated foliage, striped peels and pink flesh.  They're almost impossible for me to tell apart.  'Ponderosa' is in the photos above.

Three or four years ago I lost the original 'Ponderosa' to a freeze.  I replaced it with 'Eureka' when I couldn't find another 'Ponderosa' in the nurseries.  

Naturally, after I planted the new tree, the old "dead" one sent out new growth and now, several years later, they are both quite productive.  Last year I bought two portable greenhouses, which kept both of them happy through a colder than usual winter.
