Sentier balcon sous la Barrière du Vercors.

            France. Alpes. Massif du Vercors. Photo prise lors d'une rando en A/R au cours de laquelle nous sommes montés (ma femme et moi) au Pas de la Balme, en partant du Col de l'Arzelier.

Encore Agathe !!!....
Oui. Mais sous un autre angle et plus toute seule.

Les photos précédentes ont été prises dans la montée jusqu'au Pré Achard (vers l'altitude 1600m), en admirant la face sud-est d'Agathe.

Puis on a commencé à marcher sur le sentier balcon qui évolue au pied des falaises de la Barrière Orientale du Vercors. En l'empruntant, on a contourné Agathe par sa gauche et on s'est retrouvé du côté de sa face sud-ouest, que l'on peut voir en haut à droite sur cette photo.

Dans les photos précédentes prises à la montée, Agathe semblait isolée, juste séparée de Sophie à sa droite par un col.
Et maintenant, elle a plus l'air de faire partie de la Barrière.
En fait, sur les cartes, on voit que Agathe est située à un endroit où la barrière fait un angle de 90°.

Sur ce cliché, il y a aussi une belle ravine qui descend des falaises. Le sentier balcon traverse plusieurs ravines comme celle-ci.
