Gedenkstätte am Reichstag Mauerpofer

Standpunkt für dieses Foto war das Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus des Deutschen Bundestages am Ostufer der Spree.
Die Spree war in DDR Zeiten die Grenze die Berlin in Ost und West zerschnitten hat.
Auf dem gegenüber liegenden Ufer ist die "Gedenkstätte Weißen Kreuze" im Hintergrund der Reichstag.
Auf den Kreuzen stehen die Namen von 13 Todesopfern der Mauer. Ein Kreuz ist „Den unbekannten Opfern an der Mauer“ gewidmet
Ein privater Berliner Bürger-Verein stiftete die Gedenkstätte am 10. Jahrestag des Mauerbaus am 13. August 1971
Für mich als ehemalige West-Berlinerin symbolisiert dieser traurige Ort, die schmerzhafte Trennung von einem Teil meiner Familie. Meine Patentante lebte im Ostteil der Stadt, wir im Westteil. Ein schmerzlicher Teil in unserem Leben der bis heute nachwirkt.
Wir waren wie das Gedicht eines unbekannten
Dichters...
Es waren zwei Königskinder,
Die hatten einander so lieb;
Sie konnten zusammen nicht kommen,
das Wasser war viel zu tief.die Königskinder

The vantage point for this photo was the Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus of the German Bundestag on the east bank of the Spree.
In GDR times, the Spree was the border that cut Berlin into East and West.
On the opposite bank is the "White Crosses Memorial" with the Reichstag in the background.
The crosses bear the names of 13 victims of the Wall. One cross is dedicated to "The Unknown Victims of the Wall".
A private Berlin citizens' association donated the memorial on the 10th anniversary of the construction of the Wall on 13 August 1971.
For me as a former West Berliner, this sad place symbolises the painful separation from part of my family. My godmother lived in the eastern part of the city, we in the western part. A painful part of our lives that still has an effect today.
We were like the poem of an unknown
poet...
They were two royal children,
They were so fond of each other;
They could not come together,
The water was too deep... the royal children...

Le point de vue pour cette photo était la Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus du Bundestag allemand sur la rive est de la Spree.
À l'époque de la RDA, la Spree était la frontière qui divisait Berlin entre l'Est et l'Ouest.
Sur la rive opposée se trouve le "Mémorial des Croix blanches" avec le Reichstag en arrière-plan.
Les croix portent les noms de 13 victimes du Mur. Une croix est dédiée aux "Victimes inconnues du Mur".
Une association privée de citoyens berlinois a offert le mémorial à l'occasion du 10e anniversaire de la construction du mur, le 13 août 1971.
Pour moi, en tant qu'ancien Berlinois de l'Ouest, ce triste endroit symbolise la séparation douloureuse d'une partie de ma famille. Ma marraine vivait dans la partie est de la ville, nous dans la partie ouest. Une partie douloureuse de nos vies qui a encore un effet aujourd'hui.

C'étaient deux enfants royaux,
Ils étaient si attachés l'un à l'autre ;
Ils n'ont pas pu se réunir,
L'eau était trop profonde. Les enfants royaux...
