Zaun und eine alte Schwarzpappel - Fence and an old black poplar

            Die Schwarzpappel steht im Rudolph Wilde Park im Ortsteil Schöneberg. Er und eine alte Trauerweide sollte vor vielen Jahren gefällt werden was der inzwischen verstorbene Bürgermeister Ekkehard Band verhindert hatte. Dafür sei ihm herzlich gedankt.
Wir, meine Familie und ich, waren konnten uns nicht einigen was für ein Baum es ist zumal eine andere Pflanze sich um ihn gewunden hat. Dank Finsterling wissen wir nun es ist eine Schwarzpappel!
Aus versehen  habe ich das Foto mit den Kommentaren gerade gelöscht und musste es erneut einstellen.

The black poplar stands in Rudolph Wilde Park in the Schöneberg district. It and an old weeping willow were to have been felled many years ago, which was prevented by the late Mayor Ekkehard Band. I would like to thank him for that.
We, my family and I, could not agree on what kind of tree it was, especially as another plant was twining around it. Thanks to Finsterling we now know it is a black poplar!
By mistake I just deleted the photo with the comments and had to post it again.
