Auch für den Indianer soll gelten, was unter den fünf Bildern der Apsis, die Christoph Böhner 1912 angefertigt hat, geschrieben steht: "Euer Gott selbst wird kommen und euch erlösen." Die anderen Bilder zeigen neben diesem "von der Ausrottung bedrohter Indianer" - weit weniger spektakulär und vor allem viel schwerer zu fotografieren - "ein[en] Götzenpriester, ein[en] heidnisch[en] Philosoph[en] mit seinem Schüler auf der Suche nach Wahrheit, eine in ihrer Stellung als Frau zurückgesetzte Römerin [und] eine geknechtete Sklavenfamilie".
