11Fountains zijn een groep fonteinen in de Friese elf steden die in het kader van Leeuwarden-Fryslân in 2018 (culturele hoofdstad van Europa) zijn geplaatst.

'Love' door de spaanse kunstenaar Jaume Plensa in Leeuwarden bestaat uit twee witte kinderhoofdjes van zeven meter hoog van een jongen en een meisje. Ze lijken elkaar aan te kijken maar hebben de ogen gesloten. Eronder hangt een laag mist die de hele dag door gegeneerd wordt vanuit onderliggende waterbakken. Het kunstwerk is geïnspireerd op het Friese landschap waar het water uit de grond komt en ‘s ochtends vaak mist boven de weilanden hangt. De kinderen dromen over de toekomst die voor hen nog onzeker is. De fontein was onderdeel van de herinrichting van het stationsplein.

'Love' by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa in Leeuwarden consists of two seven-metre-high white child's heads of a boy and a girl. They seem to be looking at each other but have closed their eyes. Below it is a layer of fog that is generated all day long from underlying cisterns. The artwork is inspired by the Frisian landscape where the water comes out of the ground and fog often hangs above the meadows in the morning. The children dream about the future that is still uncertain for them. The fountain was part of the redesign of the station square.
