Bluebell Rising

            I can never resist the scene as the rising sun pierces the spring woodland. Depending on which source you read 25-5    0% of the world's common bluebells (hyacinthoides non-scripta) are found in the uk, mainly in ancient woodland - surely a sight worth preserving. Sadly, however, in some "honey-pot" sites they do get quite trampled, sometimes by photographers trying to get the perfect shot. This shot was taken from a path through my local woods but as nature lovers we have a duty to protect as much of our precious heritage as possible.
