A few days ago, Piotrek showed a picture of some remnants of the electrification of the railways in Lower Silesia: flic.kr/p/2qXpbX1.
My picture today adds some more artifacts from the same area. The double concrete poles on the right side of the picture are remnants of the electrification of the line in the 1920s. The line was once the very important double-track main line from Görlitz to Breslau. The Prussian Railroad started the electrification of this line in 1914. Due to World War I and the difficult years that followed, it took until 1928 to complete the project. The electrification of the section between Görlitz and Lauban (Lubań), where the Jezmanki station is located, was completed in 1923.
