Well not much at home stays for long if it is broken , unlike the Chiminea which has been knocking about for years with a broken leg . It was never used much anyway after one failed attempt to cook something on it and a couple of times just as a heater of sorts . It has had more use as a burner for old paperwork and it has not done that for years since there is nowhere now it would not be a fire risk !!
As for the broken leg , well that was done when next door did away with the huge hedging and had a fence put up instead - when they asked if we minded it was a no brainer , apart from having to keep our side trim it gave back nearly two metres on that side of the garden and since the garden is only about ten metres wide , that was a lot of garden back . Anyway , after the work was done I found one of the legs had been broken by the fencers - since it hardly ever got hot it was not worth making any fuss and the break is conveniently at the side of a brick I left it at that !
As for the shot , this is more or less SOOC - the flash creating the almost HDR effect . Had to use flash as the burner now lives in a dark corner behind the greenhouse with a huge rose growing against the greenhouse ( the rose is wider and taller than the greenhouse ! ) .
