The Spit In The Wind - a photo on Flickriver

Silhouettes !

The mention of silhouettes does make me think of the aircraft identification charts that were around back in the days of WW11 , and an iconic silhouette has to be that of the Spitfire !
Well I had the little lightbox studio out not long after Jan set the challenge so with the box all lit up and with my pencil sharpener that is a model Spitfire hanging outside of the lightbox and in a darkened room I was able to capture a Spitfire silhouette for the challenge .
However , it needed a setting , so I grabbed a evening shot standing just outside the front door . All that was needed was to enhance the contrasts of the two shots and put them together in Serif CraftArtist . I twizzeled the Spitfire to the right angle to represent a fast flypast whilst banking , the scene setting was not quite right with all the foliage on the right so the base shot was horizontally flipped for a better composition and the two shots merged - Job done !!
