Blast It !! - a photo on Flickriver

Blast It !!

            That is one way to get old brick coverings off - no sure if it is just a pressure washer or if he is using steam to blast the wall clean . Taken from within the churchyard looking across the road at the work being done on The Old Crown !!
Only now looking into the photo I have just spotted a surveyors tripod and possibly a case beside it for a theodolite or level - at this stage of the project I would have thought it would more likely be a level , but seeing some of the things still going on you never know !! I could not even name the make now as things have changed so much since the 1970s , I remember the yellow and orange of " Wild " and the dark green of a Hilger & Watts - and not an electronic device in sight except for at the end of my stint maybe a Distomat stuck on top !!
