            The day I'm writing this comment, long in the future, is the first genuinely hot day we've had for the summer of 2020/21. 

In Napoli, on the other hand, the weather over the whole of summer (and some months either side) is rarely what you would call temperate. This guy appears to be taking advantage of the relative cool of the morning, before the 30°C heat arrives. This probably isn't the healthiest way of doing it, but it's his life I suppose.

The wear and tear and the age of the city is apparent in the buildings; in the peeling paint, the broken rendering, the questionable electrical wiring. It's part of what Napoli is, though the fact that I'm shooting this from a well refurbished five-star hotel just across the road from these buildings is not lost on me.

The laneway running down between the 2 buildings here is the Vico Mattonelle, Vico being the Italian for an alleyway or a laneway.
