Road to Torshavn

            I had been camped out at Gasadalur hoping for a good sunset but when it was completely blocked out by clouds in the direction of the sunset I gave up and went back to my accommodations in Torshavn. As they say "If you don't like the weather on one side of the Island go to the other side". A quick glance in the rearview mirror revealed a pretty good sunset when I was almost back home so I just pulled off the road in the best spot I could find in the moment. I then had to wait more than an hour in the dark with one finger on the trigger waiting for one solitary car to come around the hill in the distance. Getting the light trails was no easy task as the traffic dwindles to one car every 15 minutes near midnight and half of them stopped in the picture to see if I'd run out of gas. Almost every car was going in the direction away from me with their tail lights far too dim for the most distant road. I simply could not let go of the shutter for fear of missing the only car that would come the opposite direction and be bright enough to show up.
