Passing a Former Stomping Ground - a photo on Flickriver

            DCRail Class 60, 60046 "William Wilberforce" heads south along the WCML at Daresbury on a road learning run from Ravenhead Sidings to Crewe and back (0Z61/0Z62).

In the background is the now dormant Fiddler's Ferry power station, which was a regular haunt for the Class 60s in the days when coal was king.  It was disconnected from the National Grid on 31 March 2020 after almost 50 years of operation.
