Black Winged Stilt - Michael Bird - a photo on Flickriver

            Black Winged Stilt (Himantopus himantopus) - Potteric Carr Nature Reserve, Mallard Way, Doncaster DN4 8DB

Potteric Carr nature reserve in Doncaster has been playing host to nesting black-winged stilts. Today I saw both adults as well as three out of the four chicks. As far as I know this is the most northerly known breeding site.
