Sunkissed - a photo on Flickriver

Sunkissed

            Juvenile Great Blue Heron rimmed with sunshine.  I prefer to be on the side with the sun facing my back, but unless I wanted to take a swim, this was not possible, so shot anyway with the sun facing me behind the heron.  Little sun rim through those new feathers - hope he has a safe trip down south.  Glad to see a juvenile before they leave these northern parts.
