Clouds and smoke

            The smoke is from the engine on the cog railway that takes you to the top of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, New England's highest mountain. A friend and I hiked to the top one day, a beautiful but grueling trek. I was rather disappointed to see so many tourists on the top of the mountain, most of whom had taken the train or drove the road, as if they cheated to get to the top without any hard work. Looking at it from their perspective, they probably counted themselves fortunate that they didn't have to hike to enjoy the magnificent views.
