Eastbound tanks at East Rowen - a photo on Flickriver

            After meeting at least two westbounds, the eastbound train at Rowen was finally given the green light to proceed east.  It took a while for the train to actually move, but it finally got underway moving up toward the switch onto the single track to carry it over the 2nd crossing of Tehachapi Creek and on up to Woodford where another segment of double track awaits. It's well after sunset and a tough pull from a dead stop with the train strung out through a reverse curve on a 2.1% ascending grade.
