A Long Awaited Return - a photo on Flickriver

            For the first time since 1952, Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis 576 is not only on home rails, but at the very station it visited & rolled by a countless number of times in the 1940's & early 50's. Thanks to the good host at CSX, the Nashville Steam Preservation Society was able to pose the engine by Nashville Union Station all day & night before moving the engine to the Tennessee Central Railway Museum to be restored to operation, where it pull excursions on the Nashville & Eastern. To say this big NC&StL fan was happy to see this site would be an understatement. 3-9-19
