Spanish navy ship leaving Cadiz harbour, passing Queen Mary 2

            The naval vessel was a traditional sailing ship, with officers aboard, being waved off by thousands of people.  

The Queen Mary, which towered over the ship as it slipped out of harbour, was really just a sideshow.  

This naval boat and its crew - the sons and daughters of the city in many cases - were what the crowds had come to see.
