Kråkholmen - a photo on Flickriver

Kråkholmen

            Finally! Sweden, for good or for bad, has some pretty strict rules when it comes to aerial photography. A rule of thumb is if you want to upload your picture to the internet (this includes if you were just going to save pictures to the cloud and not show them) and said picture includes a horizon it needs to be approved by a government department called Lantmäteriet. There are other rules as well so I thought it best from now on to send all my pictures in even if they didn't include the horizon or didn't infringe on any other rule, just to be safe. Sadly the good girls and guys at this department are under-funded and the waiting time for approval is approximately three months. 

Anyway, just come back in from a photo shoot (committed a horrendous  crime there by not checking my focus so got loads of blurry sunset shots, tut tut) and saw I had gotten an email from Lantmäteriet. Nervously I opened it, double checked that I had read correctly and yes all my photos have been approved! Now I need to send in a load more.....

Sooooo, this picture is one of the reasons why I got a drone in the first place - to fly above the fog over the sea on calm days.  The little red boat in the distance belongs to a rather good restaurant and is farming it's own mussels.
