KCS 4805 Waits at Eureka - a photo on Flickriver

            While its train waits for traffic to clear at Eureka Jct ahead, KCS 4805 cools its heels on the tail-end of a Mexico-bound grain train in Houston.

KCS 4805 was the first KCS locomotive to receive CPKC paint, painted in May 2024 along with CP 9375. These first locomotives were used promotionally for several weeks, and were paired together on their first couple revenue service runs thereafter. A year later, KCS 4805 is in regular service and its paint has held up fairly well.
