Note: D-IBUF (1) was Mitsubishi MU-2B c/n 009 in 1966.

Stephan Barth’s notes:
The photo shows the brand new aircraft in the original version as DO28D-4. Two years afterwards, she was converted to a turboprop airliner, and in 1980 she was converted again to the present final version DO128-6 with modern turboprop engines. In service as a research aircraft, this aircraft was seen in March 2020, operating out of Braunschweig in Germany (by the Institute of Flight Guidance, Technische Universität Braunschweig), still wearing the original registration D-IBUF. She is the last serviceable DO128-6 in the world.
