A bend in the road and suddenly the hamlet of Skirmett appears. Buckinghamshire

            Risking life and limb again standing in the middle of the main valley road, but luckily for all involved it is always surprisingly quiet.

And a favourite bench on the left. 
As a misplaced northerner, I seem to remember benches being dotted around on country-walks and overlooking beloved views, paid for by enthusiastic locals or in memory of a loved one. 
'Down South' they seem much rarer, but increasingly welcome! (Quick sit down, half a chicken sandwich (chicken poached by my good self- that's for tedesco57 if he catches this), gulp of water, consult the OS map on my phone and off again)
