Auerbacher Schloss unter einem Blauem Mond (in explore 20201110) / Auerbach Castle under a Blue Moon

            Dieses Photo wollte ich seit 2 Jahren machen, habe es aber zeitlich mehrfach verpasst. Am 31. Oktober habe ich auf dem Heimweg gesehen, dass der Vollmond über dem Schloss aufgeht. Ich habe meine Kamera und mein Stativ geschnappt und bin direkt an den lange ausgekundschafteten Standort weitergefahren. Was für ein Stress, der Mond begann sich schon wieder vom Schloss zu entfernen als ich ankam. Stativ aufbauen, manuell fokussieren, Belichtung abschätzen und Schloss und Mond einzeln im HDR Modus mit +/- 3 Blendenstufen abgelichtet. Der Helligkeitsunterschied zwischen Mond und Schloss schwankte die ganze Zeit zwischen 8 und 11 Blendenstufen. Hätte ich etwas mehr Zeit gehabt, dann hätte ich eine deutliche niedrigere Empfindlichkeit  verwendet aber was solls, hier ist das Bild so gut wie es meine 5D III hinbekommen hat. Und das es jetzt nicht nur ein "normaler" Vollmond geworden ist, sondern sogar ein sog. "Blauer Mond" - nun, das ist ein kleines Sahnehäubchen. Der nächste Blaue Mond kommt wenn ich mich nicht irre im August 2023. Der Mond ist natürlich nicht wirklich blau, aber im Konatrast mit dem gelben Licht der Schlossbeleuchtung wirkt er ein wenig so. Alle zwei Jahre hat man mal Glück. 

I wanted to take this picture for two years now but I never managed to be there at the right time. On October 31st I saw on my way home that the moon was going to rise over the castle. I grabbed my camera and tripod got back into the car and drove to the scouted position. What a rush. The moon was already moving away from the castle when I arrived. Put down the tripod, focussed manually, ballparked the exposure and shot both moon and castle in HDR mode with a bracket of +/- 3 aperture stops. The difference in brightness between moon and castle was between 8 and 11 stops the whole time. I would probably have used a much lower ISO if I had had more time but for this time this is what I got with my 5DIII. And that I got the image now not only with a "normal" full moon, but a so called "Blue Moon", well that is some sort of icing on the cake. IIRC the next Blue Moon is going to rise in August 2023. Of course the moon is not really blue, however in combination with the yellow light of the castle illumination it seems to have a blue shine. Well, once every two years the photographer gets lucky.
