Mandarinente / Mandarin drake / In Explore 20211126

            Mandarinenten gehören zu den farbenfrohsten Vögeln, die man in Deutschland zu sehen bekommt. Wie andere sehr bunte Arten, z.B Fasane, Goldfasane und Pfauen, sind die Mandarin Expatriates aus Asien die heute bei uns heimisch sind, weil ihre Vorfahren aus Gefangenschaft ausgebüchst sind. Dieses Männchen genoß die letzten warmen Strahlen der Abendsonne am ersten Sonnentag im November nach gefühlt drei Wochen Nebel und Dunkelheit.
Um das Bild besonders detailreich sehen zu können, drückt die Tasten l (kleines L) und F11. Beim vergrößern nur durch anklicken gehen viele Details verloren. 

Mandarin ducks are among the most colourful birds you can see in Germany. Like other very colourful species, e.g. Pheasants, Golden Pheasants and Peacocks, they originate from Asia. They now live here in the wild because their ancestors escaped from private and public zoos. This Mandarin drake enjoys November's last warm rays of the sun on the first sunny day after about three weeks of fog and darkness.
