Junge Mandarinenente I / young Mandarin Duck I

            Diese kleine Mandarinenente ist mit ihren zwei Geschwistern spät dran. Alle ihre Cousins sind Anfang Juli bedeutend größer und tragen teilweise schon das Erwachsenenkleid. Es ist aber vielleicht von der Natur auch gewollt, dass nicht alles immer zeitgleich abläuft. Zumindest ist es bei den Mandarinenenten, die ja keine Zugvögel sind, nicht so wichtig. 

This little mandarin duck is a bit late with her two siblings. All of her cousins are already significantly bigger at the beginning of July and some of them are almost wearing their adult plumage. But perhaps nature intended that not everything always happens at the same time. At least it is not so important for the mandarin ducks, which are not migratory birds.
