Rohrweihe (♂) / Western Marsh-Harrier (♂)

            Gegen Ende April werden es jeden Tag mehr Gänse- und Entenküken. Die Raubvögel haben das genau beobachtet und fliegen nun vermehrt die Ufer ab um sich die unerfahrenen Kleinen zu schnappen. Die Rohrweihe auf dem Foto drehte ein paar Runden in nur 6 oder 7m Höhe über dem Boden. Das gab mir die Gelegenheit sie mit dem Wald im Hintergrund zu fotografieren.

Towards the end of April, there are more and more goslings and ducklings every day. The birds of prey have observed this closely and are now increasingly flying along the banks to catch the inexperienced youngsters. The Western Marsh-Harrier in the photo was doing a few laps just 6 or 7 metres above the ground. This gave me the opportunity to photograph it with the forest in the background.
