FS 464.342 Trenitalia | R 3841 | Auer / Ora (19927)

            Mit 728 gebauten Einheiten gehört die Baureihe E.464 zu den am häufigsten produzierten Lokomotiven auf italienischen Gleisen. Doch auch in Italien geht der Trend zu Triebzügen und weg von lokbespannten Zügen und so sollte man die sich bietenden Gelegenheiten nutzen und eben jene Regionalzüge fotografieren. Bei Auer/Ora im südtiroler Unterland konnte 464.342 mit dem Regionalzug R 3841 auf der Fahrt von Bozen/Bolzano nach Bologna Centrale fotografiert werden.

With 728 units built, the E.464 series is among the most widely produced locomotives on Italian rails. But even in Italy, the trend is shifting toward multiple units and away from locomotive-hauled trains, so it’s worth taking advantage of the opportunities that remain to photograph these regional services. Near Auer/Ora in South Tyrol’s Unterland, locomotive 464.342 was captured working Regional Train R 3841 on its journey from Bolzano/Bozen to Bologna Centrale.
