The Admiral Benbow, Chapel Street, Penzance 24 April 2025

            The Admiral Benbow has been “serving pirates, smugglers and rum since 1695” (their words, not mine!”). It is claimed to be Robert Louis Stevenson’s inspiration for the Admiral Benbow in his famous novel ‘Treasure Island’, following a visit there in 1881.
