Wasp Nest, Blaen Bran, Upper Cwmbran 30 July 2025

            A large social wasp nest built into a gorse bush by the track round the Blaen Bran reentrant, just above the Mountain Air. Tear shaped, it is about half the size of a rugby ball. It appears defunct; I observed it for a while with no sign of activity.
