Ouette (Alopochen aegyptiaca ) Egyptian Goose

            L'Ouette d'Egypte est originaire d'Afrique, où elle fréquente les lacs et les rivières subtropicales riches en nourriture. L'espèce a été introduite en Europe au XVIIIe siècle comme oiseau d'ornement. Des individus échappés de captivité n’ont pas tardé à fonder des populations vivant en liberté.
The Egyptian Goose is native to Africa, where it frequents food-rich lakes and subtropical rivers. The species was introduced to Europe in the 18th century as an ornamental bird. Individuals escaped from captivity were quick to found populations living in freedom.
