Fall on the Dingbat - a photo on Flickriver

            A usual trip for me around fall time was moseying on down to the New York & Lake Erie. The railroad always ran excursions down their ex-Erie line in fall and provided easy photography with great power. It took me a few tries to get the photo at the "Daytona Arch" right, which is just a stone tunnel underpassing another Erie line that originally went to Dunkirk. 

On my final and only truly successful try lighting wise, the railroad affectionately called the Dingbat railroad by some local fans pops out of the tunnel into the afternoon sunshine. Leading is a FPA-2u of CN heritage followed by their Erie S1 #308. Fun fact, 308 once served the Port Colborne Railway, making it an honorary Canadian itself.
