London Fire Brigade TL62A - EY70 YXS

            Absolutely gutted the focus went wrong! Seems I’m having no luck with ALPs lately… well, at least the rest of the appliance is in focus, so there's that. Replacing the old Atego ALPs in light of the terrible tragedy at Grenfell Tower five years ago were a fleet of initially three Scanias touted as having the world's tallest ladder platforms - certainly a necessity given London's many skyscrapers and tower blocks. A whole load more, although maybe not necessarily the taller ones, subsequently arrived soon after on the L360 chassis. This is Hayes' own example, and it made for an exciting surprise sight that evening wandering down the Bath Road. I only hope that it wasn't called out to anything too serious...

Seen here despite a massive focus failure, the London Fire Brigade's T62LA, a 2020 Scania L360 ALP with a Magirus ladder and EmergencyOne bodywork based at Hayes fire station (G45), responds on blues along the Bath Road.
