New & Old, Young & Old - a photo on Flickriver

            On Sunday 27 April 2025 I managed a few hours out ostensibly to see the GBXVII in west Wales, but on the way I called in at Pembrey & Burry Port. On the left is 197114 (new) working 1B99, the 12.06 Cardiff Central to Milford Haven and on the right is 150213 (old) with 2E11, the 11.42 Pembroke Dock to Swansea. As the Class 197 arrived I noticed a young lad rushing across the footbridge and was quite concerned that he may get in my photograph, but he was equally concerned as he did not want to get in my way, how considerate, he (the 'young' in the picture's title) had just taken a couple of pictures with his Smartphone and I (most definitely the 'old' in the title) capture the whole scene. I have been informed that the semaphores at this location are about to be removed, the new replacements are in place and just need to be connected to the system, I must try to get back again before the semaphores go.
