L570 approaching Ahbau - a photo on Flickriver

            Southbound train L570 has just dropped off empty centerbeams at the large Dunkley sawmill complex, and is nearing the location of Ahbau.  This wayfreight travels from Prince George south to Quesnel, setting out empties for the wood product industries on the way, as well as carrying all the traffic for the industries in Quesnel, Williams Lake, and 100 Mile House.  The train terminates in Quesnel, where one of the yard crews will break down the train between cars for Quesnel, and cars for the following days L592 to carry further south.  The deciduous trees beside the train were resplendant in yellow and orange leaves from mid September until about 10 days before my trip.  The last few stragglers are still holding on, but don't make as appealing a backdrop.
