Bridge 44 - a photo on Flickriver

Bridge 44

            CN 8853 leads double stack train Q119 west around the curved bridge over the North Thompson River at milepost 44 of the Clearwater Subdivision. 

In the not too distant past, this viewpoint gave an unobstructed angle over the entire bridge structure, and trackage in the foreground.  With the end of code lines and associated brush control on the side of the right of way, nature has slowly reclaimed the trackside space.  In a few years the leaves and branches of the red alder tree in the middle foreground will be blocking this view of the bridge entirely.
