Kohlependel nach Marl-Sinsen - a photo on Flickriver

            Bei Eisenbahnfreunden im Ruhrgebiet ist dieser Kirchturm bestens bekannt. Die St. Pankratius Kirche, ein neugotischer Kirchenbau aus dem 1898 wurde im Krieg schwer getroffen aber wieder aufgebaut. Sicherlich steht sie auch für den Begriff der Osterfelder Kirchturm-Touren, die es nicht nur zu Dampflokzeit gab. Hier kommt die RBH 829, eine Mak 1206 "Ruhrpott-Sprinter" mit einer Leerwageneinheit auf dem Weg zur Zeche Auguste-Victoria durch den Bahnhof gefahren. Heute sind solche Züge aus Fal- Wagen schon fast eine Besonderheit im Ruhrgebiet.
