IMG_9058 - a photo on Flickriver

            A thoroughly enjoyable 330 piece push fit with masses of colour-line cutting.  The artwork is by the cartoonist H H Harris who was active in the UK between 1910 and 1946 and  was responsible for producing the golf cartoons on cigarette cards in 1929. P, followed by tennis cartoons.  This makes me think this was probably cut in the 1930’s  when he was in his golfing mode and is clearly an image from a periodical  with its classic centre line.

This was great fun to do.  No idea how it would pan out until almost complete? Lots of heads whose eyes were the only clue as to  which side of the puzzle they came from, and as for the poor chap in brown who is clearly the subject of the mass horror, I have no idea what his terrible crime is.  Maybe one of you who knows about golf could enlighten me.

Sadly no original box, but a beautifully cut puzzle in very nice quality ply.
