A vase of decaying sunflowers in the style of Van Gogh, oil painting, the petals brittle and curling like charred paper, their once-bright yellows drained to the color of old bone and spoiled honey. The stalks droop under the weight of their own rot, stems streaked with shadow as if bruised. Behind them, a light blue wall cracked and peeling, its surface veined like frostbite over cold skin. The background shifts between sallow yellow and mold-touched green, painted in thick, agitated strokes that almost claw at the canvas. The yellow tabletop bears dark stains and faint scratches, like something dragged across it in the night. The whole composition radiates the unease of beauty forced to keep smiling long after its soul has withered a high-resolution, professional photograph of the painting.
