... Portland Pub at Night-time - a photo on Flickriver

            Many Australian country towns have hotels like this, on a corner, with two or three stories, and balconies with elaborate iron or timber lacework. This one is in the Victorian coastal town of Portland. 

Only two levels are visible in this view of the same pub that is seen fully in the previous photostream item. This was taken from the adjacent side at night-time (by its own light sources of varying colour temperature), highlighting the typical Victorian-era ornamentation. The top edges and corners between the verandah and the posts are decorated with borders and spandrels, a little reminiscent of some carpet designs of the East.
