University End of Town - a photo on Flickriver

            Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Swanston Street at the Northern end of the CBD.

It has been a boon to Melbourne. to have a University in the city and next to its significant public library.   Especially prior to Covid, young people constantly pouring onto the streets generated an enormous energy in the environs. 

This photo was taken early in the morning when the building was only just opening. (The curve is an artefact of pano mode on my old iPhone.)  The old building is a former pub but now also part of the university precinct.

Once again, the wider-angle the lens, the better an image looks on a large monitor compared to a phone, even more true for a panorama...
